Sherwood Anderson Revised Thesis

In the stories "Killed at Resaka", "An Episode of War", and "An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge", foolishness is the reason for death instead of bullets.

Sure. I mean, bullets are definitely the agent of death for most people (they get shot), but the idea that while a bullet might be the literal means of death, foolishness is a cause of death is great.
